New Calligaris and Connubia Collections

Renowned brand Calligaris continue to experiment with new materials, finishes, and designs, and their latest collection showcases the innovation and stylish aesthetic that has become their signature. Younger sibling Connubia add a touch of playfulness with pastel colours and unexpected shapes. Here are a few of our favourites.

The Universal range of sideboards from Calligaris allow you to customise almost all of the elements, from the tops, legs, and doors, making your very own unique design to suit your aesthetic and interior needs. To simplify the choosing process we’ve separated the range into the Stripe Sideboard which has a patterned ‘Ebony’ veneer or textured walnut striped doors, the Inlay Sideboard with ornate inlayed veneer doors in herringbone or square patterns, and the Universal Sideboard featuring a simple lacquered wood.  

Connubia's Ens Desk starts with a simple base and lets you add colourful storage pieces — hooking them on to the back, side and front — to create a unique workspace bespoke to your needs.

The Calligaris Oleandro Bar Stool with Wood Legs adds instant style with its solid wood frame, upholstered seat, and curved backrest. The footrest features a chrome insert for durability, and the entire stool is available in a selection of different finishes. Connubia's Tuka Chair and Tuka Chair Wood Legs both bring out bold design possibilities. Featuring a statement C shaped back and seat moulded in sleek recycled polypropylene material, all supported by slender lacquered metal or wood legs. The metal-legged chairs are available in stacking and non stacking styles, and all can be customised in a range of finishes.

Tables in the collections span playfulness and practicality. The Peeno Round Table by Connubia has a striking wood frame made up of four round-ended angular legs supported by two V-shaped structures. The frame is complimented by a circular transparent glass top that allows the frame to become the focal point of the entire design. Calligaris' Abrey Table is a contemporary take on a classic staple, resulting in a fresh but warm look. The simple ash wood base features  up-to-date tapered legs with a cross bar detail, and supports a statement ceramic top — in a selection of fixed and extendable sizes.

As more of us explore the outdoors and find new ways of hosting and relaxing, it’s not surprising that there has been a high demand for functional outdoor furniture, and that includes coffee tables. The Twist Rectangular Coffee Table by Cane-line is a sleek design that features a lightweight frame, and central crossbar support, in lava grey marine-grade powder coated aluminium. The ceramic tabletop is smooth yet hard wearing, and the roomy rectangular form extends the practicality. New 2021 Cane-line Collection

Cane-line are a Danish premium outdoor brand creating stylish designs that are made to withstand the elements. Their fabrics and woven finishes are dyed all the way through to the core so you won’t find any fading in the sun; aluminium finishes are coated to marine-grade specifications; and teak wood, with its high oil content, is the classic choice for longevity out of doors. The great thing about having products that will last means that the only time you’ll need to replace them is when you're eventually ready for a whole new style update — and even then, you can confidently pass them on.

The Basket Chairs and Sofa draw inspiration from traditional rattan furniture but with a new design twist; these hand-woven structures are marine-grade powder coated galvanised steel. The furniture features Quickdry cushion inners, with water repellent lining — 80% of water runs off and 20% runs through — great in a shower, but also cooling as air can run through, making them perfect for hot summer days.

The Angle Sofa is an elegant design with a sleek straight frame in a warm teak finish. The back and sides are beautifully hand-woven in Cane-line soft rope, and again Quickdry foam cushions complete the design.

For a sophisticated outdoor chair in a clever natural look, the Ocean Weave Chair gives you all the elements of a traditional chair design with a contemporary update. With a pleasing 'cane-effect' appearance, the chair is finished with powder coated aluminium with matching hand woven Cane-line Weave, is stackable, and can have an optional weather resistant seat & back cushion. 

Function meets design with the Flip Folding range. This folding table and chair are classic in their composition, with X shaped legs and supportive bars that run parallel underneath the main slatted top or seat areas. Last but certainly not least, the Lagoon Outdoor Shower is one of the most elegant we’ve seen, featuring a striking curved stainless steel structure with a detachable handheld shower head, complete with hot and cold functions. The shower comes with an optional hardwood teak slatted footbed on a marine-grade lava grey aluminium base. Perfect for cooling off after a long day.
